Pearls in my hair-DT card for challenge #82@Tammy's Scrappin' Corner

Hello again bloggers! Today I'm sharing the card I made for the new challenge at Tammy's Scrappin' Corner
This week's theme is Monochromatic.
One of our our sponsor this week is A Day For Daisies. I have chosen to use this fabulous digi, Pearls In My Hair.
I've used all 7 Copic E30's to create this monochromatic look.
The paper is from a Tim Holtz collage stash. The pendant is from a Bo Bunny embellishment pack.
I just picked up one of the new Stickles, Mercury Glass(love it) to add some sparkle, and the ribbon was from my ribbon stash. The swirly pearls/crystals are from Prima Say It In Crystals.
If you'd like a chance to win 3 ADFD images be sure to play along and link up your monochromatic project here, where you will also find more monochromatic inspiration from the DT.
You can also check out A Day For Daisies blog here. There's a new Fall freebie you can download.

Whenever I design a card I grab a little basket and "shop" my stash.
I look through all my drawers and baskets of  scrapbook paraphernalia and grab everything I think I might be able to use to decorate the card I'm making.
Most times just a few things are selected out of everything I've pulled to adorn my card.
After each card is done I put all the unused items back where I got them from. Well ideally that's what I like to do but of course sometimes I have to rifle through a few baskets of  stuff that never got put away to find what I'm looking for.
I don't create in my scraproom so I have to haul things back and forth from there to the dining room table.

If you read my post from the other day then you know that I was disappointed that the wet cool weather was going to ruin plans to go on the Toy Run.
I thought we would be driving the car to bring our toys to the park to be collected by Santa's Anonymous instead of riding the bike.
Thankfully it had pretty much stopped raining by time we were to leave and a little bit of weather isn't going to keep a good biker down! lol.
I'm not sure of the numbers yet but I'm thinking there were about 2-3 thousand bikers that showed up for the run this year.
And because it was so cool out there(45°F or 7°C) was a lot of leather!
Here's a pic of me(on the left) and hubby, along with our good friends Marni and Wayne.

Till next time! Hugs!

Hypno Eye Girl- DT card for The Corrosive Challenge Blog

Hello bloggers! Today I'm sharing the card I made for the new challenge at The Corrosive Challenge blog
Our sponsor is Dilly Beans Stamps!
I was pretty excited to make this card as it's my first Dilly Bean! I love all the quirky, cute, creepy these digis have.
Dilly Beans are the perfect fit for our challenge this week; Creepy And Cute.
I've used Hypno Eye Girl. Isn't she adorable!
I think the colors on this card can kind of hypnotise me if I look at it too long, or maybe her hypno eye is pulling me in.
I first started seeing these fun images colored up by one of my favorite bloggers, Creepy Globugg. Gloria is on the Dilly Beans DT and she rocks these images. She is after all the queen of creep, and I say that in a very loving way. (:  So after some more stalking  peeking in on Glo's  blog I was inspired to create this card. Check out a couple of her fabulous Dilly Bean cards here and here.
If you'd like more Dilly Bean inspiration be sure to check out my other Corroisive Teamies DT cards here
Always a lot of inspiration on the Dilly Beans challenge blog
Hope you'll link up your creations and  join us. I'm looking forward to seeing your Creepy Cute.
The paper is from the new Bo Bunny Autum Song collection.
The spiderweb stamp is Inkadinkado, and the sentiment,"Beauty is simply reality seen with the eyes of love!" is from Kraftin Kimmie's Fabulous Frames.
I added a chipboard spiderweb from Make It Crafty and a blingy spider brad from MM.
The wings were created using a Delta Accents Wings Stencil and Liquitex Black Lava Texture Gel. It wasn't black enough or sparkly enough for me so I sprinkled black glitter over it while it was still wet.
I used black stickles on the web and around the sentiment.(that was almost a train wreck after the stickles bottle did a burp while I was outlining.)
As I was adding little lines to Hypno Girl's eyes my Copic marker leaked out a droplet of ink right under the hypno eye but thankfully I was able to hide that. Skully's eye is a prizm from a Jolee's Boutique pack. The "cute" bulb is a Prima Junkyard finding.

Looks like my plans are getting rained out. Rain all day and we were supposed to go on the Motorcycle Toy Run.
That's a yearly event where bikers in the community help out Santa's Anonymous by going for a scoot and bringing a new unwrapped toy to donate.
A few thousand bikers show up with toys.
This is the Toy's Run's 30th anniversary.
Well I guess we'll still get up early, get in the "cage" and  drive out to the park to drop off the toys, and then go out for brunch.
Still a good day!
See you again tomorrow.

Ivy Fairy-Challenge #183@The Corrosive Challenge

Hello,
I'm here today to share the card I made for the new challenge at The Corrosive Challenge Blog.
This week's theme is "Maiden,Mother,Crone"
So all you need is a female image and you can play along.
Our sponsor this week is Delicious Doodles. I love coloring  up these digis! The winner will receive 4 digis of their choice. I've used Ivy Fairy to create this week's theme card.
She is colored up using some of the fluorescent Copics. I finally got to use my birdcage die cut.(haha I find enjoyment in little things like that.) I used some black netted ribbon under the Spellbinder circle die cut. The bird is chipboard that I glittered up, from Make it Crafty.(She doesn't sell any of that awesome chipboard anymore because of lack of demand.)
The papers are a pale green combo from Pion Design.
The sentiment, Let Yourself Go is from a PSX Travel/Explore set. It's another one of my stamps that was bought years ago and finally got some love.
I really need to get some black Recollections because all I had was a couple of strange curvy arrows pattern and circles. I pieced it all together and came up with this obscure design. It totally kind of goes with that whole "Eclectic" thing going on. I made the  lock out of clay and have a tutorial on how I made it here.
I'm looking forward to seeing what creations you come up with.
Be sure to stop by the Corrosive Challenge Blog for more inspiration from the talented DT using more yummy images from Delicious Doodles.
Have an awesome Sunday! Hope you get some nice weather yet before the cold starts. We are going to have wonderful warm temperatures so I will be enjoying  another day riding with hubby, having drinks and eats on the best patio's we come across.
I don't think we'll have too many more nice weekends left to get out for a scoot so I plan on leaving early and come back late.
Until next time...Hugs!

Sunset At Sea-Challenge #78@Tammy's Scrapin' Corner

Hello! Today I'm sharing the card I made for the new challenge at Tammy's Scrapin' Corner.
The new challenge is #78 End of Summer
Our sponsor this week is Delicious Doodles. I've chosen this awesome digi called Sunset at Sea. I really enjoyed coloring this image up and I love the Delicious Doodle images because they always make your coloring look so good! What says Summer better than a sunset. But Sunset at Sea could also be Sunrise at Sea depending on your perspective. (:
The sentiment is a Trinket from Kraftin' Kimmies
I'm having trouble editing my pics in Picasa but I'm going to keep trying and hopefully I will be able to add a few more pics tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by today, and I'm looking forward to seeing your End of Summer creations.

Acorn Mouse-The Corrosive Challenge #182

Hello, today I'm sharing the card I made for the All About Fall challenge at The Corrosive Challenge Blog.
Our sponsor this week is Meljen Designs and  I've used her adorable digi called Acorn Mouse.
You can also find the Meljen Designs Challenge Blog here.
The papers are from Graphic 45 Wonderland.
I added a skeleton leaf, a paper flower, some Recollections, and a brass acorn charm which I was surprised I had in my charm stash.
The sentiment is from Kraftin Kimmie.
Today's blog is short because it's after midnight here and I've been busy all day setting up new bedroom furniture, and mattress. Also running around looking for new sheets and duvet cover.
Now that that's all done and mostly in place, I can't wait to get into my new bed and lay my head on my new pillow.
My husband and I picked everything out together, from sheets and pillow cases to lamps and bedroom sets, and I'm happy to say that we made it through that whole ordeal hardly scathed and our marriage is still intact. There were a few issues when it came to pillows cases though. We use different size pillows so we have to buy standard and King pillow cases and that just makes it hard to buy anything in sets. What a gong show trying to find a duvet! What is with all those drab grey an taupe colors? I couldn't find anything with red in in like I wanted. And then when I did find a suitable style duvet I liked, it had to pass hubby's "how does it feel? Is it itchy? No polyester" inspection.
4 days of shopping and moving furniture around...over...and yes I'm looking forward to a yummy sleep!
Thanks for stopping by, hugs!

I'll edit tomorrow with the color recipe.
